From time immemorial, long before vines were cultivated, humans consumed fruit; then the wine of the first farmers became a sacred beverage for many civilizations. As it spread through human societies, desacralized wine acquired the status of a cultural beverage, a status it has retained over the centuries.

Those involved in the Iter Vitis cultural itinerary will help visitors understand the extent to which wine permeates our imaginations and opens the door to a culture and an art of living.
